GLOOPY CANDLE BY SETH
Think bergamot. Think lemon. Think amber. Think cypress. Think jasmine. Think sandalwood. Think nutmeg. Then, think about all those scents swirling around your house in a blend of warm, earthy, goodness.
Inspired by the Houseplant House and our love of things that smell good, this candle brings together a supergroup of warm, earthy, sunny California scents to create something at once entirely new, and yet totally familiar.
Yes, you read that right. This candle combines basically all the MVPs of the scent game into one warm, sunny, earthy and bright candle. At once casual and sophisticated, like red wine in a juice glass.
Even though a Gloopy Candle seems obvious, we didn’t start there. We tried all different shapes and sizes before we realized that we needed look no further than Seth’s signature gloop. We then partnered with Felt+Fat in Philly to get it just right.

We started making Housegoods to fill the gap we found in the market for “stuff we wanted that doesn’t exist yet.” The Gloopy Candle is a prime example of that singular purpose. It’s the exact scent we wanted for our own homes, but couldn’t quite find.
Let’s be honest, once we created lamps and ashtrays, it was only a matter of time before we started making candles, which kind of live at the figurative intersection of those two things. We made this candle because it combines a scent we love, with a collectable and reusable gloopy, which we also obviously love.
Light this candle when you want your space to be filled with the scent we've described, which is a pretty great smell. Blow it out any time you leave the room, or before falling asleep because you’ve become super relaxed from smelling the candle.
• Trim the wicks to 1/4” before each use, including before your first burn!
• During the first burn, we recommend you burn the candle until the wax melts to the walls of the vessel to prevent tunneling and to maximize burn time.
• Do not leave burning candle unattended.
• Do not burn for more than three hours at a time.
Let's fix that.
