Remember that shelf at the video store with “Employee Favorites”? This is like that, but for Houseplant’s best sellers
Every day, Houseplant challenges ourselves to find creative ways to leverage the beautiful objects we make to raise money and awareness for organizations and people working to build a more just and equitable world.
This year, we’re proud to donate $10,000 to People's Pottery Project, a nonprofit that offers the formerly incarcerated paid vocational training in the ceramic arts.
A collection of unique products to compliment any home.
This collection of versatile products are all meant to be as useful as they are beautiful. While there’s no right or wrong way to enjoy them, if you were to enjoy them while smoking that would be a way to enjoy them that was close to the enjoyment we imagined when we made them.

SPOTLIGHT ON
People’s Pottery Project is an artist-driven nonprofit that works to empower formerly incarcerated women and trans people by offering paid job training in the ceramics arts and meaningful employment in their collective ceramics business.
People's Pottery Project, which was founded in 2019, is currently headed by former participants Domonique Perkins and Ilka Perkins. Over 85 people have completed PPP training since the organization began. Participants in the program, the majority of whom are women and non-binary folks that are reentering society from prolonged time behind bars, spend 2-3 months getting paid to learn the art of ceramics making. However, PPP’s support doesn’t end with job training. Their healing community is a godsend to participants, who have a safe space to speak about the myriad of challenges they’ve faced pre-and-post incarceration.
Let's fix that.
