Concrete and aluminum aren’t often described as “cozy” materials, but when they’re poured into the shape of a rolling tray and smelted into the shape of an ashtray and grinder, they are undeniably Hygge. Also, not sure if ‘smelting’ is what you do with aluminum but we’re going with it.
An essential part of Hygge is not simply the coziness of a space, but the convivial feel it has, it’s conduciveness to good solid hangs, if you will. The Houseplant Music collection is nothing if not conducive to good hangs, and therefore an exemplary example of Hygge-ness in sonic form.

Even if you didn’t know what Hygge meant until you just looked it up we guarantee when you looked at this image and then read the word Hygge somewhere in your brain the word “yeah” was sparking across your neurons like an impulse.
The Crackle Candle gets its name from its unique crawly glaze, a happy accident that happens right before the glaze reaches gloopiness. It could just as easily get its name from the warm, contented crackle you hear as the flame dances along the surface of the wax, but that’s not where it got the name so we aren’t going to pretend it is just to bring this back around to coziness.
